AFGHANISTAN UPDATE: VOM to Provide Aid as ongoing Crisis Deepens

Mar 28, 2022 | VoM

As the war in Ukraine continues to captivate the attention of the world, the mainstream media have

all but forgotten the ongoing threat to many in Afghanistan. Many Christian Afghanis are stuck in

dangerous situations both in Afghanistan and in surrounding countries.

They are without support and have no certainty as to where to go or what to do next. These Christians, many of them with young children, fled for their lives taking just what they could carry. The only reason they find themselves in this situation is because they are being pursued by the Taliban for following Jesus.

While Australia evacuated some military employees and contractors from Afghanistan, at-risk Christian Afghanis were not considered in the overall evacuation plan.

Voice of the Martyrs was one of the first ministries to respond to the Afghan crisis last year. We are now working on another urgent mission to free more Christians from the grips of the Taliban. There are 260 such people who urgently need our help. They are needing assistance with visas and passports, daily sustenance while they await their travel confirmation, safe accommodation, medical help and resettlement assistance to haven countries.

However, in order to respond to this urgent need, we need your help.

Please partner with us as we prayerfully work to bring these fellow believers to safety.
